Vertical Jump Exercises

Are you sick and tired of watching NBA players do crazy dunks, or come out of nowhere for an unbelievable block, and thinking to yourself, "why can't I do that?"  Are you sick of your lack of athleticism and jumping ability?  Most people are-but they don't realize that there is actually something there actually are exercises to do to increase their vertical jump.

You see, just in the past 5 or 10 years there has been an absolute breakthrough in the study of increasing your vertical jump.  Never before has there been so many powerful exercises that will increase your vertical jump so quickly as these.  Take me, for instance.

During my junior year, I sat on the bench the whole year.  Almost never got in the game unless it was a blowout.  During the middle of the year, I decided to do something about that.   Even though they said never to use it during the season, I used a vertical jump program.  My basketball game has never been the same again.

You see, before I started doing that jump program, I could touch about halfway up the net.  I was slow, and my endurance was pathetic.  However, I was determined to change that.  So, no matter what the day, whether we had a game the next day or not (hey, I wasn't going to be playing anyway) I used that program diligently, pushing myself to the limit and then some.  I changed my eating habits, and saw my energy go up.  And after just two weeks, I had seen a ridiculous four inch increase on my vertical leap.

I still remember that feeling like it was yesterday.  Before, I had never even been able to come close to touching rim.  On this particular day however, I walked into practice at the usual time (6:00 in the morning) and was just shooting around to warm up as always.  I decided to try and see how high on the net I could touch.  My previous best was a little over halfway up.  I tried once, and again I touched no higher than halfway up the net.  However, I tried again, and to my utter shock, I touched the rim!  I just nipped it, but I touched it!  That was a good 5-6 inch increase right there!

From then on, my basketball game has never bee the same.  Each week I continued to use the program, I saw more increases.  Finally, by the end of the program, I had gained an incredible 11 inches on my vertical jump, and I could almost dunk.  Not to bad for someone who couldn't even come close to touching the rim before.  More than that, though, my foot speed increased by a lot, and my endurance was off the charts. While others were tiring, I was just getting going.  I started nearly all of my senior year, and I now regularly dominate the competition.  The moral: find a good jump program, do it diligently and at the same time every day, watch the way your eat and get eight hours of sleep every night.  It is very important for your body to get that needed rest and your legs to recover so you have the energy to go at it again the next day.  If you do these things, you will see huge increases in your vertical leap-and in a short period of time.
